The thought of networking can be daunting, going and selling your services. But if you think about it logically, networking is just a group of like-minded people gathering to speak with other like-minded people, it is not just that it is also enjoyable and not every discussion is work related.
Networking does not have to stressful and time consuming ,which could end up producing you that lead you needed/wanted. If you join BNI Witham the only time out of your busy schedule would be our Friday morning meeting at 6.30am (groaning as you are reading the time) but you get a great breakfast! Trust me it will and does get easier as the weeks go on.
Networking is not just about “sell, sell, sell” think of it as a way of building a solid foundation with your potential clients or even use it as your extended sales team. So please don’t see networking as closing a deal but an ongoing relationship, with an avenue of opportunities.
